One of the useful features of MyLife is the ability to store documents along with textual information. A document can consist of nearly anything : it can be a picture, a movie or even a pdf file you have scanned onto your computer.

Following the selection of an item from the List Panel, the Content Panel becomes visible. At this point in time you are now able to add document(s) to the item selected in the List Panel. To do so you click on the add documents(s) button (see The Layout for the location of this button) which brings up the Document Panel shown in the figure below.

At the top of the Document Panel is a reminder of which item you are going to be adding the document(s) to (in the figure below we are adding document(s) to John & Jane's Car). After having navigated throughout your computer and selected the document(s) you would like to add simply click on the Add button. Any added documents will now be displayed in the documents table in the Content Panel.

If you ever want to view a previously added document simply double click its name in the document table. MyLife will take over and load up your document in the appropriate program (see Preferences for information on how to open a document in a particular program).
